Dr. Christopher Wenzel

Dr. Christopher Wenzel, a native of western North Carolina, has been dedicated to delivering healthcare services to the region for a combined total of 45 years, spanning across generations. Dr. Wenzel's journey in the medical field began in 1991 when he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Davidson College, and he furthered his education by attending Duke University Medical School, where he completed his studies in 1995.
His commitment to excellence continued with a comprehensive 5-year residency program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. During his residency, Dr. Wenzel also pursued additional training in the specialized field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, enhancing his expertise and skill set.
In 2001, Dr. Wenzel achieved board certification in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and he holds the distinction of being double board certified, having earned recognition from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. With a remarkable 19 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Wenzel has consistently upheld the highest standards of patient care and medical excellence.
He is an esteemed member of the Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, as well as the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Wenzel's dedication is further exemplified by his completion of over 1,500 facial plastic and reconstructive procedures, complemented by his ongoing commitment to maintaining a comprehensive general ENT practice. Dr. Wenzel's vast experience, board certifications, and dedication to his patients make him a trusted and respected medical professional in western North Carolina.
Jacob Jennings
PA-C
Jacob Jennings, PA-C, has been an integral part of the Western Carolina Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialists team for over 6 years, contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The addition of a physician assistant has been a pivotal step in making specialized medical services more accessible to the local community, addressing the high demand for specialty care in the area. With a wealth of experience spanning more than 10 years, Jacob brings a diverse background to our practice, having worked in various healthcare settings, including Emergency Service facilities and Urgent Care Centers.
